The cult classic PS2 action-platformer, Legend of Kay appears like it will likely be going to another platform thanks to its Anniversary edition. The ESRB has added the Nintendo Change to its platform listings, indicating the game is going to be visiting the console/portable.

Visually, Legend of Kay Anniversary makes a lot of sense for Nintendo audiences, because it stars a cartoon tiger named Kay who battles other animal opponents for example rats, gorillas, crocodiles, turtles, and bears. Based on the ESRB listing, the sport does in addition have a reference to the word “bastard,” so Nintendo appears to become branching out somewhat on their own kid-friendly image.

(Kidding.)

Legend of Kay Anniversary had something of the silently mixed critical reception upon its release in 2015 on Wii U, PS3, and Xbox 360 Console. The game’s Metascore sits at 67, so don’t expect the Nintendo Switch version to achieve much greater, if. That stated, it may be difficult to translate a game title from two console generations prior, so provide some slack.

It’s important to note there hasn’t yet been the official announcement from developer Neon Studios or writer THQ Nordic, so for the time being, we’ll have to wait it.
