Project Morpheus to be integrated with Unity Engine “SOON”
Unity has announced that developers can now make full use of Unity 4.3 engine for creating a games for PlayStation 4 console. With the help of Unity engine developers can use PS4 features such as PlayStation Move motion controller and DualShock 4’s touchpad.
In addition to this, Unity has created new hope for Virtual reality fans by stating that support for the Project Morpheus virtual reality (VR) headset will be coming to PlayStation 4 console soon.
Project Morpheus is PlayStation’s prototype virtual reality system for PS4, which was announced at GDC 2014. Morpheus is a sleek, eye-catching piece of hardware that feels surprisingly comfy once strapped to your cranium. It is a futuristic looking virtual reality headset which covers almost all of your field of vision. It is a whole new level in gaming.
Unity engine is the most favoured engine for developers for creating Oculus Rift compatible games for PC, Mac and Linux. On PlayStation 4, the Unity 4.3 engine has powered Stick It To The Man, a game by Ripstone Games.
